Special Classroom Events
Elementary Performance: It may be a play, it may be a concert, as Lower and Upper Elementary entertain us for the evening, followed by an on-site potluck.
Field Day: An annual event each June, on Field Day multi-age, cross-classroom teams enjoy a variety of fun outdoor events, ending with a watermelon!
Fiesta!: In May, Upper Elementary students host Fiesta!, a celebration of Spanish-speaking countries and cultures. Students research a country and create presentations, activities, and food to share with the rest of the school.
Kindergarten Play: The annual kindergarten play is a puppet show featuring all of the kindergarten students.
Musical Breakfast: Upper Elementary students demonstrate their musical talents while serving a scrumptious buffet breakfast. This event is a fundraiser for the annual Upper Elementary camping trip.
Poetry Cafe: Lower Elementary (and alumni, if they wish) share poems they have written and/or memorized.
Science Fair: Upper Elementary hosts an annual Science Fair which is attended by all the children in the school and parents if they wish. The Science Fair offers an opportunity for each Upper Elementary student to experience the scientific method (pose a question, create a hypothesis, test the hypothesis and analyze the results) and create a presentation for the school community.
